Find Your Undertone in Less Than 30 Seconds
Most people think undertone is complicated.
It’s not.
You just need two comparisons.
Do this now:
- Compare gold vs silver
- Compare bright white vs cream

Step 1: Gold or Silver?
Hold something gold near your face.
Then hold something silver.
Which one makes your skin look:
- clearer?
- more even?
- more alive?
If gold makes you glow → you’re likely warm.
If silver makes you glow → you’re likely cool.
If both look good → you might be neutral.
Ignore what you prefer.
Look at what your skin responds to.
Step 2: The White Test
Take two pieces of clothing or fabric:
- one bright white
- one cream
Hold them under your face in natural light.
If bright white looks sharp and clean → cool undertone.
If cream/ivory looks softer and more harmonious → warm undertone.
If both work? Neutral.
A Quick Note About the Vein Test
You might have heard that blue veins = cool and green veins = warm.
It’s not that simple.
Vein color is influenced by lighting, skin depth and contrast — not just undertone.
Gold vs silver and white vs cream are far more reliable.
Important
Undertone is not about how light or dark your skin is.
You can have:
- light skin with a warm undertone
- deep skin with a cool undertone
- anything in between
Undertone = temperature.
If makeup often looks:
- orange
- muddy
- grey
- too pink
It’s usually not the product.
It’s temperature mismatch.
